the ‘logic’ of optimism

they say hope breeds eternal misery. the optimist is the one who gets their heart broken the most, their bubble burst often, and their hopes and dreams shot down more because they seek to believe that something good can happen. yet they remain optimistic.

because “suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope (Romans 5:3-4)”, and such perseverance, character and hope can never fail you when the rest of the world stands on shaking ground. so maybe the optimist gets it right every time they let their hearts defy the logic of their head.
