people usually accept one of the above, and forget that they can have all three. we’ll settle for the one that makes us happy, but they forget that happiness is based on happenings, so what about the moments, days, weeks when the happy isn’t happening?
or we’ll settle for the one who won’t complicate our lives, because we know how tiresome it is to be constantly untangling a web of lies, and always dodging and hiding. but sometimes safety is the most dangerous thing for a life that’s made for living.
and then there are those of us who settle for the one that won’t hurt us, and that’s almost everyone. no one likes to have to put together an aching heart, or watch wounds heal, because that takes too much time – time that goes by ever so slowly. but sometimes the one that won’t hurt you isn’t the one who makes love worth falling into.
either way, we settle for one of the above, and that’s the worst crime we could commit against ourselves. but these are the words of a hypocrite because even i’ve settle one too many times. even the most insightful find that they’ll settle for the one that makes them happy, or the one who makes it easier, or the one who makes it safe.
so before you have to make that choice, make it a point not to settle. because when you get to the point of choosing you’ve gone to far, and you’ll only pick one. so please don’t settle. take it all or take nothing.
